After attending university, Chi landed a job in Cambridge, Massachusetts that most grads would envy. At twenty-three years old, she had a lucrative job in the corporate world, managing accounts for high profile businesses. But, despite her achievements, Chi felt unfulfilled. Born in Nigeria and raised in the U.S., Chi had always been drawn to Africa and dreamed of living and working on the continent. Taking a leap of faith, she quit her job and accepted a position at a teaching academy in Johannesburg, South Africa. When Chi first arrived, she was given the opportunity to live on the school's campus. A few months have passed, and now Chi's ready to move out on her own. But, she can't leave the dormitory until she finds a furnished apartment that's close to her work. And, with young professionals arriving in Johannesburg every day, affordable rentals are hard to come by. She hopes that she isn't destined to dorm life forever.
